ELIGIBILITY
The European Virtuoso Music Awards is open to musicians worldwide, featuring classical categories such as Piano, Strings, Voice, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, Piano Duos & Chamber Music.
Candidates must submit a video of their musical performance via a link. We accept links to major video platforms: YouTube, Vimeo, BiliBili, or Youku. The video duration is determined by the age category.

Woodwinds: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone

Percussions
Piano Duo
Classical Voice: Soprano, Mezzo-Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Baritone, Bass
Chamber Music: Duos, Trios, Quartets, Quintets, String Ensembles, Wind Ensembles, Brass Ensembles, Vocal Ensembles
Repertory:
Candidates are free to choose their repertoire within Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Contemporary styles. The repertoire may remain the same in all rounds or be changed between rounds.

Professional: Born in or before 1998/ Up to 20 min
Elite Virtuoso: Born in 1999/2000 / Up to 20 min
Senior Artists: Born in 2001/2002 / Up to 15 min
Emerging Talent: Born in 2003/2004 / Up to 15 min
Developing Talent: Born in 2005/2006 / Up to 12 min
Intermediate Performers: Born in 2007/2008 / Up to 12 min
Rising Performers: Born in 2009/2010 / Up to 10 min
Aspiring Musicians: Born in 2011/2012 / Up to 10 min
Budding Artists: Born in 2013/2014 / Up to 7 min
Promising Stars: Born in 2015/2016 / Up to 7 min
Future Virtuosos: Born in 2017/2018 / Up to 5 min
Tiny Stars: Born in 2019 and younger / Up to 5 min
There may be multiple winners in each age category and instrument group.
COMPETITION FORMAT
1. First Round (FREE APPLICATION)
Candidates must submit a video clip (audio not accepted) of their performance and complete the application form on our website. Contestants can submit a single video link that includes different pieces or movements recorded at various times and locations within 12 months of the deadline. Video duration is based on age category.
Videos may use multiple cameras, but no sound effects should be added (opening credits are acceptable). Each piece must be a single, continuous recording. Breaks between recordings for different pieces are allowed.
All performances may include piano, orchestra, chamber ensemble, or any accompaniment specified by the composer.
COVID-19 Adjustment: Pre-recorded accompaniments are accepted if live recordings are not feasible due to restrictions.
Candidates violating any rules may be disqualified. EVMA reserves the right to amend regulations, with contestants informed promptly of any changes.
The application deadline for the first round is December 31, 2024.
Final Round (INVITATION & REGISTRATION)
Candidates advancing from the First Round receive an invitation to register for the Final Round, where they can use the same recording or submit a new one.
The Final Round registration fee is €89, and €148 for chamber music and piano duos per group. Payment links will be provided, and once paid, fees are non-refundable.
All contestants receive a high-resolution digital diploma upon conclusion of the Final Round.
Marking System
Platinum Prize: 100 points
Gold Prize: 95-99 points
Silver Prize: 88-94 points
Bronze Prize: 79-87 points
Special Prize: 70-78 points
Honour Prize: 65-69 points
Finalist’s Certificate: 50-64 points
The number of awards is limited, but they can be shared if more than one contestant reaches the same mark.
